Ever wonder how those djembe straps work? We've created this step-by-step guide for you, complete with photos, to help you put a handy djembe strap on your drum!


SHOULDER STRAP
STEP ONE:

STEP 1: Pull the strap evenly through about three verticals, or better yet, make a handle and loop your strap through that. Make sure you got an even amount of strap on both ends.

STEP 2: Make a knot at the end of the strap

STEP THREE:

STEP 3: With your left hand, grab strap half-way, and drop the knot down and under the bottom of the drum.

STEP FOUR:

STEP 4: Lift with both arms, and put strap on your shoulders to hold drum above ground.

STEP FIVE:

STEP 5: Cross one strap over the other to form a harness style, "kris-kross" weave.

STEP SIX:

STEP 6: Pull over your head to set strap firmly on your shoulders.

STEP SEVEN:

STEP 7: The strap should look like this on your back, and your Djembe should sit steady between your legs while you stand.

STEP EIGHT:

STEP 8: When you're all done, just wrap strap around the base of the drum like this. It's now sized just for you, and ready whenever you need it!

WAIST STRAP
STEP ONE:

STEP 1: Connect the hardware on the strap to your drum on two verticals, about 8 vertical rows away from one another.

STEP TWO:

STEP 2: Clip the buckle on your waist and adjust to size.
